To treat a cavity our dentists will remove the decayed portion of your tooth and then "fill" the area on the tooth to restore the function, integrity, and morphology of the existing tooth. The fillings may be made of gold, porcelain, amalgam or composite materials. Dental fillings are also used to repair cracked or broken teeth, improve the appearance of our patients' teeth, to restore teeth that have been worn down due to misuse, and to repair teeth damaged from trauma.
